Op-Ed

I have an op-ed in the New York Sun, on revelations from the LBJ tapes and Israel's role in the current presidential election.

Sir:

One minor point From the Marine LtCol who followed your blog link... I enjoy your writing on the Duke case.

The Tet offensive did not "undermine public support for the Vietnam War" rather our national media did by blatantly missrepresenting ground truth.

The Tet offensive was a Operational victory for America that was turned into a strategic defeat by a hostile media.

I recommend reading the London Times reporting from the period and then comparing and contrasting with US media. The Europeans knew who won even if most Americans to this day dont.

Sadly, Hue City was one of the Marine Corps finest hours, yet the memory was sacrificed on the altar of politics.

The same group of "elites" came close to losing us this one as well. The decision making getting us there may have been flawed granted... but one engaged, losing would have greatly compounded our political problems.
